Introducing the Vauxhall Corsa-e

By: Lisa Harper

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular with sales of battery electric vehicles up 60%* over the last year. So it will come as no surprise, that more car manufacturers are introducing an electric model into their range.

For Vauxhall, the continued popularity of the Corsa made it a key target for electrification.

Set to land in showrooms soon, the new Vauxhall Corsa-e brings electrification to the masses and can now be reserved for just £500. Plus if you're one of the first 500 people to reserve a model you will receive a free home-charging kit.

With the Vauxhall Corsa-e, making the switch to an EV is easy. With punchy performance, it reaches 62mph in just over eight seconds and has an impressive 205-mile range. This means you can enjoy the same levels of performance and day-to-day practicality as a traditionally-fuelled vehicle.

Charging is a doddle too, so your journeys are never compromised. It charges via a cable that can connect to either a wall box or fast charger and comes backed by a comprehensive warranty, which guarantees that at least 70 per cent battery capacity is maintained for 100,000 miles, or eight years.

There’s plenty of tech onboard the new Corsa-e too, so you can enjoy connected and convenient journeys. The Multimedia Navi comes with a seven-inch colour touchscreen or you can opt for the top of the range Multimedia Navi Pro with gets an uprated ten-inch colour touchscreen. Both versions are user-friendly thanks to the clever positioning which angles them towards the driver.

What's more, both are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, so you can easily hook up your phone, and both come with integrated voice recognition for seamless use on the go.

While Vauxhall Connect telematics service puts a host of helpful functions within your reach. From a Live Navigation with real-time traffic information to key vehicle data checking via an app and direct connection with roadside assistance and emergency call, both driver and passengers can enjoy unprecedented peace-of-mind motoring. In fact, help can be reached within seconds via the red button and if the seatbelt tensioners or airbags are deployed, the emergency call is automatically activated.

The Vauxhall Corsa-e will be available in two highly-specified trims, both come as standard with a seven-inch touch screen, 11kWh on-board charger, satellite navigation, LED headlights, alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and DAB radio.

Vauxhall is set to debut the Corsa-e at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, after which full specifications will be released. So to make sure you know all the latest about the new Vauxhall Corsa-e, register your interest with your local Stoneacre Vauxhall branch.
