Lower Running Costs
Efficiency is a design focus for SEAT plug-in hybrid cars. Running on battery power requires less fuel, making it more affordable. Additionally, maintenance costs are lower because there are fewer parts and fluids to replace.
Extended Driving Range
SEAT plug-in hybrid models have a battery that recharges while driving thanks to regenerative braking, or you can top up the battery by plugging it in. Up to 40 miles can be covered entirely on electricity before it switches to the petrol engine.
Reduced Emissions
As the SEAT hybrid range uses less fuel and more electric power it therefore releases less CO2 exhaust emissions. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars all go towards reducing our carbon footprint and improving our air quality.
The SEAT Leon e-Hybrid and the SEAT Leon Sportstourer e-Hybrid are currently the only models available as plug-in hybrid models from SEAT.
Thanks to its electric battery and a powerful petrol engine choosing a plug-in hybrid SEAT Leon means you will benefit from efficient running costs as well as lower CO2 emissions.
The SEAT plug-in hybrid comes with a 12.8kWh lithium-ion electric battery pack, which operates alongside the 1.4-litre petrol engine through a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Every model has a semi-automatic transmission that assists with gear changes.
A 40-mile electric range can be achieved by the electric motor before a smooth transition to the petrol engine. Using a wall box charger, the battery may be fully recharged in less than four hours.
SEAT hybrids are a great choice for a family hatchback if you're looking for speed and efficiency.
