New Peugeot 3008 – A Bold SUV Prospect

The new Peugeot 3008 has a fresh new design which brings it into line with its other SUV models. As well as updates to the exterior styling it benefits from the most innovative driving technology.

A Fresh Look

The greatest changes to the new Peugeot 3008 are at the front which features a frameless grille, reshaped air intakes and brand new vertically orientated LED daytime running lights. It also features the model name above the grille for the first time.

Move to the rear, and more subtle changes have taken place including LED brake lights, reversing lights and indicators extended across the boot lid which helps to make the car appear wider.

Meanwhile, inside benefits from a style refresh to help link the Peugeot 3008 to other Peugeot models thanks to the introduction of the unique i-Cockpit interior. It brings a 12.3-inch digital instrument display for a refined view of the graphics and impressive readability on the move. In addition, the upsized 10-inch high definition touchscreen ensures seamless use of functions on the move with the added compatibility of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

A Choice of Powertrains

Another big change for the new Peugeot 3008 is the availability of a new entry-level plug-in hybrid. The brand new hybrid combines Peugeot’s 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol to an electric motor for a combined 222bhp. Sending power to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Plus thanks to the 13.2kWh lithium-ion battery you can travel around 35 miles of pure electric motoring. With a full charge taking just one hour and 45 minutes using a 7.4kW wall box charger.

Should you prefer conventional combustion fuel, the new Peugeot 3008 is still available in both petrol and diesel variants. You can choose from the PureTech 130 1.2-litre three-cylinder available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, or the PureTech 180 1.6-litre four-cylinder mated to an automatic gearbox.  However, for high mileage drivers, the BlueHDi 130 1.5-litre diesel engine still makes a sensible choice.
