Approved Used Car FAQ

What are approved used cars?

These types are officially approved by manufacturers, with each having similar names to refer to the approved used car scheme. For example, Vauxhall calls it Network Q while Volvo refers to it as Volvo Selekt. They essentially offer comparable benefits which include warranty, assistance and breakdown and 150-point inspection with other extras sprinkled in.

Are approved used cars worth it?

As with everything, there are advantages and disadvantages which you’ll need to weigh to decide whether it’s worth it. One of the major advantages is security and peace of mind since cars go through a lot of checks to ensure excellent quality and a year’s worth of warranty. Meanwhile, for some, the drawback could be price – it is more expensive than buying a used car privately or through a dealership.

What’s the difference between used and approved used cars?

There are two types of used cars – officially approved by the manufacturer or not. Approved pre-owned cars have a higher standard and include extra perks like guarantees, typically lower mileage, only one or a couple of previous owners & stringent inspections.
