Finance Q&A - Eligibility

Can you get car finance when you are self-employed?

Is it possible for me to get car finance as a self-employed worker?

Jade Root

Answer from the Stoneacre finance team:

Hi Jade, if you have a decent credit rating, then we may be able to offer you self-employed car finance, this may depend on how long you have been self-employed for, but other factors will also be taken into consideration. We have a couple of lenders that may be willing to lend you the money, but we will most likely require a copy of 3 months' worth of bank statements in order to demonstrate proof of income. If you aren't already, I would also recommend registering on the electoral roll, it's not mandatory, but it does help lenders to streamline their checks. Either way, we specialise in unemployed car finance and offer some of the most competitive packages around. Please submit an application online and a member of our in-house team will give you a follow-up call.
