Engines and Driving Performance
The Renault Austral used car comes with several engine options. Earlier versions of the Renault Austral come with a mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain, to support the engine.
You can find a 1.3-litre Mild Hybrid or a 1.2-litre Mild Hybrid with a 48V system and an integrated starter-generator. Choosing a mild hybrid delivers better fuel and lower CO2 emissions than a conventionally-fuelled car, making it an excellent choice.
You can also choose a used Renault Austral E-Tech Full Hybrid. This comes with a more powerful engine and offers up to 200bhp. Instead of the six-speed manual gearbox that comes with your average used Austral, the used Austral E-Tech comes equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission, that allows for a smooth and relaxed ride.
Interior, Technology and Safety
Even as a second-hand car, the used Austral offers an inviting interior. MULTI-SENSE sets your interior ambience, and seats are adjustable and comfortable to sit in. For added convenience, some models comes with automatic dual-zone air conditioning.
In the centre, there's a large touchscreen infotainment system, with Google built-in services allowing you to access Google Maps and real-time traffic information. You can also sync your smartphone to the car via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity.
The Renault Austral is well-equipped, with up to up to 30 advanced driver-assistance systems. On many models, you'll find Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and automatic emergency braking. You also benefit from Park Assist at the front, side and rear.
