The New Kia Sportage Hybrid Pure delivers a wonderfully quiet, comfortable drive with excellent handling.
It features a 1.6-litre petrol engine working with an electric motor. Together, they produce 235bhp through a six-speed manual gearbox and reach a top speed of 119mph. This combination gets the Sportage Hybrid from 0-62mph in 7.7secs.
The hybrid system cleverly combines both engines automatically. This boosts fuel efficiency and performance, with no plug required. The battery charges through regenerative braking and the engine. The electric motor helps during acceleration and low speeds, for lower emissions and better fuel economy.
Official figures put fuel economy at around 50mpg, with CO2 emissions of 126–129 g/km. This makes it a strong choice for keeping running costs down.
