Space that works harder

With a large 597-litre boot with enough space for family luggage and everyday errands, the Sports Tourer also has the added adaptability of a 40:20:40 rear seat load split, offering up to 1,634 litres of space with all the seats down. The load split gives you more flexibility so you can still have passengers in the back and a seat down for any loads that need more space than the boot.

Boot storage nets mean the boot can be more organised but are still out of the way when flatpack needs to go in, so you don’t need to rearrange the car to load bulky items.

Upgrade to the GS, and the rear backrests can be released more conveniently with Easy Break. The Ultimate offers this and a power tailgate for electric-powered opening and closing of the boot.

Calm, practical comfort: Astra Sports Tourer interior

Comfort isn’t just assumed its scientifically designed. The Astra Sports Tourer uses Vauxhall’s Intelli-seats, inspired by the saddle of performance bicycles; these seats are designed to reduce pressure around the tailbone, great for longer drives. On top of this, the AGR-certified driving seat has an eight-way adjustment so drivers can find a more supportive driving position.

Heated front seats and steering wheel are added as standard for cold-weather comfort on the morning commute, and the Sports Tourer has also retained physical controls so regular actions like temperature and sound control are still familiar to most drivers.

Upgrading to the GS trim gives you a more distinct cabin style with sport seats and ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control means everyone can get a personalised temperature, so no arguing over who is hot or cold. The Ultimate adds greater seat functionality with the ReNewKnit upholstery, electric-powered driver adjustment, and passenger AGR ergonomic seats with additional massage functions for the front seats. The Ultimate trim also includes acoustic side glass, which supports a calmer cabin at speed.

Easy everyday driving

This Astra Sports Tourer is a simple 1.2-litre turbo, three-cylinder conventional petrol engine for familiar refuelling and no need to charge the battery. With no charging routine, everyday driving is straightforward, with a quick stop at a petrol station being all that is needed to get through the day.

The New Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer has 320Nm of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission for easy overtaking and merging in traffic without the need to change gears manually.

The responsive steering wheel and predictable handling only add to this practical family car's charm for everyday drivers.

Everyday technology

In the New Astra Sports Tourer, two 10.0-inch display screens sit along the front console, with media, navigation and driving information split across the two displays to keep core information within your eye line.

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto reduce cable clutter while still giving you access to apps most suitable to your drive, including Google Maps, Spotify and many more.

The Ultimate trim includes Intelli-HUD, which projects key information within your eye line, reducing the need to look down at the display.

Driver assistance where it matters

The Astra Sports Tourer's assistance systems share the load rather than take over. You stay responsible for the driving.

Standard across the range:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking, which can apply the brakes if you have not responded to a developing collision situation.
  • Lane Keeping Assist, which helps you hold your lane and prompts you if the car drifts.
  • Driver attention warning, which watches for signs of tiredness and suggests a break.
  • Traffic sign recognition, which shows speed limits on the display, so they are easier to follow on unfamiliar roads.

The Sports Tourer has adaptive cruise control, keeping its distance from the car ahead and pulling away again once traffic moves. It takes the effort out of motorway queues.

The Ultimate trim uses Intelli-Drive 1.0, which adds blind-spot alert, lane-positioning and lane-change support, and rear cross traffic alert, so you get a warning when a car sits outside your mirrors or approaches from the side as you reverse out. It adds awareness around the sides and rear. It does not drive the car for you.

Intelli-Lux HD lighting on Ultimate uses more than 50,000 elements to shield oncoming traffic while keeping the rest of the road lit, so you can leave high beam on far more of the time. It also lights into bends and adjusts for poor weather.

Sharper by design

The new 2026 Astra Sports Tourer is easily identifiable with the narrower vizor and permanently illuminated Griffin, with the illuminated Compass graphic, which create a crisp, technical-looking car.

The long roofline, roof rails, carbon black roof, mirrors and spoilers, and the Clover Green colouring, only available on the Astra Sports Tourer, really distinguish this car from the regular hatchback for a purposeful estate design.

Upgrading to the GS adds a sportier look and larger 18-inch alloys.

Explore finance options and deals

Most people buy an Astra Sports Tourer on finance, and the choice usually comes down to two options.

Hire Purchase spreads the cost in fixed monthly payments, and the car is yours outright at the end. Payments are higher, but nothing is left to settle, and there is no mileage limit.

Personal Contract Purchase keeps monthly payments lower by deferring part of the cost to the end of the agreement. When you get there, you can pay that amount and keep the car, hand it back, or put any value above it towards your next one. It suits people who like to change cars every few years.

A part-exchange brings the cost down before finance is even discussed. Our free online valuation takes a couple of minutes and puts your current car's value straight towards the new one, with no obligation.

Our Vauxhall teams can run through both options with you and work out which one fits.

Pick your Astra Sports Tourer

The trims sit at the top of this page. Griffin covers the essentials well, GS adds the rear camera and the sharper look, and Ultimate brings the adaptive lighting and the extra driver assistance.

If you know which one you want, check availability on the card and enquire from there. If you are still deciding, come down to your local dealership and try them all out.

Petrol, hybrid or electric?

The Sports Tourer comes in four ways, and mileage usually decides it.

  • Petrol suits long or unpredictable journeys where charging would be a nuisance. That is the car on this page.
  • Hybrid cuts fuel use around town without changing anything about how you run the car.
  • Plug-in hybrid offers the best of both worlds with a daily electric battery and a petrol tank for longer journeys.
  • Electric makes most sense with off-street charging and a regular commute.

Same estate, same boot, same driving position. Only the way you fuel it changes.
