The new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Plug-in Hybrid is a five-seat family estate car with a seven-speed e-DCT automatic transmission, built with practicality in mind. With a larger boot and more space than the Astra, this car is an alternative to an SUV without the higher height.
With up to 52 miles WLTP of electric range and a petrol engine back up the Astra Sports Tourer can be used for electric driving for everyday driving with the petrol engine kicking in when you need to go further.
The three trims available are Griffin, GS and Ultimate, with meaningful comfort and technology upgrades between each trim.

Electric range for everyday journeys
The new Astra Sports Tourer Plug-in Hybrid can get up to 52 miles of WLTP electric range, perfect for the morning school run and shopping trips, and with regular access to charging can give you more opportunities to drive on all-electric battery power.
The 1.6-litre petrol engine supports journeys beyond the electric range when driving distance becomes a little more unpredictable or you have less time to refuel. The two powertrains can also be used together, perfect for the motorways, making overtaking and merging easier, with the Astra Sports Tourer Plug-in Hybrid achieving 0-62mph in 7.7secs.
E-save is a journey-planning function that allows you to choose between electric range and petrol usage if you need to preserve electric range for a later journey.
Charging around your routine
Home charging gives you the opportunity to charge when parked at home, whether overnight or through the day between journeys, with a suitable home wall box. Home charging, especially in off-peak hours, can be a lot cheaper than refuelling at the petrol station or using fast charging stations.
