Tailor-made performance
The moment you sit in the bespoke seats of the Ford Ranger Raptor, it’s clear this is no ordinary pickup. Smart technology improves the driving experience, and a single button activates the new Terrain Management System. Six driving modes cover every terrain: Normal, Sport, Grass, Gravel and Snow, Mud and Sand, and Rock. For a ferocious off-road experience, select the unique Baja mode.
Race-bred suspension
The Ford Ranger Raptor comes with the legendary FOX Racing Suspension as standard. This performance-tuned suspension absorbs heavy impacts and smooths out bumps and ruts.
Tackle any terrain
For added confidence in all conditions, you can switch between 4x2, 4x4 high and 4x4 low. When you’re cruising comfortably on dry roads, you can keep the vehicle in a more fuel-efficient 4x2. When you head off-road or conditions worsen, you can easily switch to 4WD for more grip and control.
Set your own speed limit and the Ford Ranger Raptor stays within it. Integrated with cruise control, the Speed Limiter lets you set a chosen maximum speed and keeps the vehicle within that limit. You can override the system at any time by pressing the accelerator or brake.
Powerful Xenon headlights detect changes in light conditions and automatically switch on when needed, making driving easier and safer.
Intelligent Speed Assist helps you manage your speed while Traffic Sign Recognition detects permanent and temporary signs, roadside or overhead. When active, the system adjusts your maximum speed to the detected limit; the driver remains responsible at all times. Speed limit and no-overtaking icons are shown in the instrument cluster to alert you to changing restrictions.
An advanced system to help you stay in your lane. The Lane Keeping System uses a camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of the lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane.
If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 43 mph (64 kph) or can be turned off manually.
Extra control on hill starts – Hill Start Assist helps prevent the vehicle from rolling when you start on a hill. It holds the brakes briefly, giving you extra time and control as you move from the brake to the accelerator. It’s also useful on slippery surfaces.
Extra control downhill – Hill Descent Control controls your speed on off-road descents, without using the brake or accelerator. It works in forward and reverse.
Ford SYNC Emergency Assistance
In the event of an accident, where the airbag is deployed or the fuel-pump deactivated, Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance can use a Bluetooth-paired and connected mobile phone to help you make a direct call to the Emergency Services. You can choose to stop the call, or talk to those services if you need to. The system is designed to supply vital information, such as your GPS coordinates, even if you are unable to.
Easier reversing – The rear-view camera shows what’s behind you on a screen in the centre console. It helps reveal objects you might miss and displays virtual lines to guide you into tight parking spaces. The camera activates automatically when reverse gear is selected.
Stress-free parking – Rear parking distance sensors help you judge the distance between your vehicle and nearby obstacles. When an object is detected, the system provides an audible warning that becomes more intense as you get closer.
Helping you see, without dazzling others - A useful night-driving aid, auto high beam temporarily dips your headlights when it detects oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead, stopping you dazzling other drivers. It then automatically reverts back to high beam, giving you maximum visibility.

Set the ideal temperature for you and your passenger with Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control you can select the temperatures you and your passenger each prefer and the system maintains it with advanced air conditioning.
Rain-sensing wipers spring into action when they detect moisture on your windscreen, then adjust their speed to deal with whatever the weather throws at you. You can even choose from several sensitivity levels that determine how much moisture can build up before the wipers activate.
Ford Easy-Fuel, for fool proof filling-up - This useful technology makes it almost impossible to put the wrong fuel in your vehicle, because the wrong nozzle simply won’t fit. Even better, as Ford Easy-Fuel is a capless system, you’ll never have to handle a dirty fuel cap again.
Wing mirrors that can protect themselves. To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable mirrors fold inwards when you’re parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.

Use less fuel with Auto Start-Stop
If you find yourself stopped at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine. When you're ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or release the brake on an automatic, and the system restarts. Auto Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10%.(Coming later in 2019.)
An on-board trip computer gives you useful facts and figures about your mileage, fuel consumption, speed and the outside air temperature. It also includes ‘distance to empty’: roughly how far you can go on the fuel left in the tank. This is particularly useful on long journeys, or if you know you’ll be driving somewhere remote.

Whether you’re cruising on a motorway or wading through rivers, the Ford Ranger Raptor is packed with sophisticated safety systems designed to help keep you and your passengers safe. Advanced Roll Stability Control and Electronic Stability Control help keep you sure-footed in all conditions. Whilst Pre-Collision Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking actively work to reduce the likelihood of an incident occurring.
A system that can help protect pedestrians - Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses RADAR and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
ABS Helping you brake at higher speeds - The Active Braking system is an innovative safety feature that works when you’re traveling at speeds of over 30mph. The technology scans the road ahead and if it detects a collision is likely, will warn you. If you don’t react, the system primes the brakes then starts braking to help slow you down.
Stay in control whatever the conditions - Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your vehicle’s progress. It senses when a vehicle is losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels to help stabilise it.
An advanced Traction Control System eliminates excessive wheelspin and gives you the best possible grip, performance and stability, just when you need it most. The system constantly monitors and adjusts the power delivered to the vehicle’s individual wheels ensuring maximum contact and grip when you’re accelerating.
Load Adaptive Control adjusts the Electronic Stability Control according to the overall weight your Ford Ranger Raptor is carrying. This ensures control and stability whether empty or fully loaded.
Keeping your trailer safely in line - Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
Continuous protection against rolling over - Ford’s unique roll-rate sensor helps the Roll Stability Control system to keep the tyres grounded, specifically under conditions where there’s a high centre of gravity and when driving through off-camber turns.
An early warning if a tyre is going flat. If any of your tyres starts to lose pressure during your journey, the tyre Pressure Monitoring System warns you immediately if there’s a puncture by lighting up an icon on the instrument panel.
Airbags to shield you from all angles – In addition to driver and passenger front airbags, side airbags help protect the torso and move occupants away from the point of impact. Curtain airbags provide wide head protection, while headrests help reduce whiplash.
Front and rear seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters help manage crash forces, with seatbelt reminders for all seats. A display also shows which occupied seats are not fastened.
Helping to keep children safe. The Ford Ranger Raptor is designed to help keep young children safe and secure on every journey. It comes with rear ISOFIX child seat attachment points, so you can easily fit two child seats.
