Meet the All-New, All-Electric Toyota Hilux
The new Toyota Hilux Electric is a fully electric, five-seat Double Cab pick-up with twin-motor permanent all-wheel drive for better traction on the road.
Now in its ninth generation, the versatile pick-up has a rear bed separate from the five-seat cab, perfect for wet and muddy kit, with more freedom than a regular boot due to the open-air bed for added flexibility.
The Electric Hilux still has the off-road capabilities Hilux users come to expect from the pick-up, with detailed off-road systems and towing.
There are two trims available in the new Hilux Electric: The Icon and Invincible trims. These trims share the same battery, so the meaningful differences appear inside the cabin and through added equipment for easy loading and access.

Toyota Hilux Electric range & battery
With a combined range of up to 159 miles WLTP combined and a WLTP city range of up to 236 miles, the Hilux with a regular charging routine is capable of everyday journeys and can go further in stop-start city environments.
The 59.2kWh battery position doesn’t compromise load bed space, and the low centre of gravity helps support the new Hilux's stability and handling.
Both trims use the same battery, so no matter which trim you choose, you will get the same range and charging capabilities.

Charging the Toyota Hilux Electric
Rapid DC charging is where the Toyota Hilux stands out, with a 10-80% charge taking approximately 30mins. Great for an on-the-go rapid stop, with longer journeys only needing a quick coffee stop before you can set off again.
A regular home charging routine on a 10kW AC wall box charger could give you a full battery if left overnight, going from 10-100% in around 6.5 hours on a suitable charger.
Toyota offer scheduled charging on the Hilux which perfectly suits customers with an off-peak electric tariff as you can charge for even less when scheduling your charges around your electric tariff.

Double Cab space for everyday use
The five-seat, four-door double cab is a practical pick-up that lets you take extra passengers without sacrificing the load bed, so friends and family can join the ride, and the ISOFIX fittings for car seats suit families with younger passengers.
Side steps have been added so fitting into the pick-up isn’t a problem, and on a wet day the 60:40 tip-up rear bench allows you to fit more into the cabin, and the flexibility means the rear seats can also take a passenger or two with one seat folded down for luggage space.

Toyota Hilux Electric load-bed practicality
The load bed is what separates this pick-up from a conventional SUV, allowing wet and muddy kit to sit in the load bed away from the cabin.
With a 1,555mm load-bed length, the new Toyota Hilux Electric is useful for storing camping equipment and bulkier equipment that usually wouldn’t fit in the boot of a conventional car.
The payload differs slightly depending on trim, with the Icon being able to handle slightly more at 715kg, and the Invincible adds a tailgate damper perfect for easy load-bed access when using the bed frequently, with a maximum payload of 710kg.
As well as the load bed, the Hilux electric can tow up to 1,700kg braked towing which can support trailers where the trailer, load and legal limits are appropriately matched to the vehicle.

Toyota Hilux Electric interior and comfort
The Hilux Electric offers everyday comforts with heated front seats, heated steering wheels, and dual-zone climate control, perfect for frosty mornings, and adds a more personalised approach to climate control so everyone can feel comfortable.
The heat pump is available on the new electric Hilux, which moves heat into the cabin instead of generating it from scratch, which saves battery power and increasing driving range in cold weather.
Upgrading to the Invincible gives a meaningful seating upgrade with leather upholstery and powered driver’s seat adjustment for added convenience.

Technology in the Toyota Hilux Electric
The 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen paired with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto gives you your music, maps, and messages all on the main interface.
The front and rear of the vehicle have 2 USB ports each, so everyone in the car can plug in devices for the drive.
Driver information display showing information like speed and EV information differs between trims with the Icon trim getting a 7.0-inch screen behind their wheel, the Invincible trim upgrades this to a customisable 12.3-inch display with different themes and layouts.

Off-road capability of the Toyota Hilux Electric
The new Hilux Electric’s permanent all-wheel drive and twin motors give the pick-up extra traction on slippery and uneven roads, which is useful even in everyday use, but the Hilux Electric is built for more.
The Toyota Hilux Electric has off-road capabilities backed by specific off-road systems like Multi-Terrain Select, which adapts the vehicle's response for different surface conditions, and Downhill Assist Control supports controlled progress on steep descents.
Withstanding up to 700mm of standing water and a 212mm minimum running ground clearance, the Hilux Electric can tackle rutted tracks, uneven campsite access and muddy fields where a regular road car may be vulnerable.

Toyota Hilux Electric design
The Hilux Electric has an unmistakable presence, and the all-new ninth-generation Hilux has given it a new front-end design with slim headlights and a horizontal bar carrying the TOYOTA lettering for a wider, cleaner appearance.
17-inch BEV-specific alloy wheels have an aero-tuned design with diamond-cut detailing and are designed to manage airflow efficiently.

Toyota Hilux Electric safety & driver assistance
The Hilux Electric comes with Toyota Safety Sense, a suite of driver assistance technology that watches the road alongside you and steps in when it needs to.
Collision avoidance comes first. The Pre-Collision System scans the road ahead for vehicles and, depending on the situation, warns you and can apply the brakes if you do not react in time. It is the feature you hope never to use, and the one that makes the biggest difference if a car stops suddenly in front of a loaded pick-up.
Lane Trace Assist keeps the Hilux Electric centred in its lane by making small steering corrections, which takes the effort out of motorway miles and reduces the drift that creeps in on a long drive. Adaptive Cruise Control sits alongside it, maintaining a set gap to the vehicle in front and adjusting your speed as traffic slows, so stop-start stretches of dual carriageway are far less tiring.
Around town, three more features earn their place:
- Blind spot monitoring flags vehicles sitting where a large pick-up blocks your view, which takes the guesswork out of changing lanes or pulling out of a slip road.
- Parking sensors judge the distance to kerbs, posts and other cars at low speed, so tight bays and loading areas are less of a gamble.
- A reversing camera gives a clear view behind the load bed when you are backing onto a drive, hitching a trailer or lining up at a loading point.
ISOFIX mounting points are included, so compatible child seats fit securely, and the Hilux Electric works as family transport as well as a working vehicle.

Toyota Hilux Electric Finance and Part Exchange
How you fund a Hilux Electric usually comes down to one question: do you want lower monthly payments and a choice at the end of the agreement, or a straightforward route to owning the vehicle outright? Both are available through Stoneacre, subject to status and current availability on this model.
Personal Contract Purchase works on a deposit followed by monthly payments, with part of the vehicle's cost deferred to the end of the term and based on its expected future value. That usually keeps monthly payments lower, and at the end of the agreement you can keep the Hilux Electric by paying the final amount, return it or change it for something new, subject to your agreement terms and mileage.
Hire Purchase splits the full cost of the vehicle into a deposit and fixed monthly repayments. There is no larger payment waiting at the end, and once all the required payments are made the Hilux Electric is yours, which suits buyers who plan to keep a pick-up for the long haul.
Your current vehicle can help by part-exchanging. We will value it for free and with no obligation, and it can go straight towards your deposit. One straightforward transaction, and no private sale to arrange around work.
