Meet the New Alpine A290
Combining electrifying performance and everyday usability, the new Alpine A290 is a fully-electric five-door hatchback with heart.
The A290 is split across three distinct trim levels: the entry-level GT+, the GT Performance+, and the range-topping GTS+.
This trio of trims allows drivers to choose between an array of power outputs, interior features and overall cabin comfort.
With up to 235 miles of range available on a full charge, the A290 has everyday usability, while its compact dimensions bring urban manoeuvrability.

A290: Electric Performance & Driving
The Alpine A290 exists to be a performance-based hatchback, regardless of which trim you choose.
Even the entry-level GT+ serves up 177bhp alongside 210lb ft of torque, while the GT Performance+ and GTS+ models offer maximum potential with 220bhp and a 6.4-sec 0-62mph run.

You’ll find the same 52kWh battery capacity in each of the A290’s trims, helping strike a balance between performance capability and EV range.
Those looking to maximise their range should look to the GT+ model which offers the highest range, with up to 235 miles on a full charge, whilst still packing a 177bhp punch.
Though offering over 40bhp more, the GT Performance+ and GTS+ are both able to offer up to 225 miles on a full charge.
At home, routine charging speeds of 7.4kW (and up to 11kW) will be available, while up to 100kW DC rapid charging is possible when out on the road, helping you charge from 15-80% in around 30 minutes.
One Pedal Driving
Using the RCH (Recharge) rotary control on the steering wheel, One Pedal mode increases regenerative braking so the A290 slows progressively when you lift off the accelerator, eventually bringing the car to a complete stop.
This can be particularly useful in busy urban traffic, reducing the amount of switching between the accelerator and brake while also helping the A290 recover energy as it slows.
Heat Pump As Standard
Helping to limit the effect of cabin heating and efficiently optimise the interior’s climate in cooler conditions, the A290 features a cabin heat pump across the whole range.

Additionally, full wireless smartphone mirroring is available for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay if you wish to utilise your own device’s capabilities - the A290 also boasts wireless charging.
