Motability Electric Cars

Electric cars are becoming more commonplace in the UK, as the infrastructure is rapidly growing. Public charging points, and particularly, the ultra-fast chargers, are increasing year by year.

The government is also offering Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) grants of up to £350 to cover the costs of installing chargers for people that have off-street parking, while the Motability Scheme covers the remaining sum if it’s your first charger.

Consider the range...

Before purchasing an electric vehicle on Motability, there are a few things to consider, with one of the more important ones being the range. The average range of an electric car is 181 miles; however, this depends on how powerful a car is. For example, a Tesla Model 3 range is 267 miles which is above the average, while a smaller city car Nissan Leaf range is up to 239 miles. So before getting an electric Motability car, weigh your options for your daily journeys to ensure no road anxiety, or if a hybrid is a better alternative.
