A Grand Finale for the Nissan Electric Encounters Live Tour at Stoneacre

The road to the future just completed its final lap. After a four-month odyssey across the UK, the Nissan Electric Encounters Live tour has officially concluded, leaving a trail of excitement and a packed pre-order list in its wake.

Designed to showcase the highly anticipated All New LEAF and All New MICRA, the tour visited dozens of showrooms nationwide since kicking off last October. We are thrilled to report that two of the final, most successful stops were right here at Stoneacre Liverpool and Stoneacre Grimsby.

Liverpool and Grimsby: The Stars of the Show

Despite the typical British winter weather, the turnout at our sites was nothing short of electric. The arrival of these two pioneers drew crowds eager to get a first look at the next generation of Nissan engineering.

David Kirkby, Sales Manager at Stoneacre Liverpool, was delighted with the reception:

“Our event went extremely well and there was a good turnout of visitors. We now have around 15 customers waiting to take test-drives as soon as LEAF and MICRA arrive on-site with us. All those who attended gave us great feedback about both cars.”

Meanwhile, at Stoneacre Nissan Grimsby, the atmosphere was equally charged. Regional General Manager Andy Craven noted:

“Our Electric Encounters Live day was great! We had fantastic levels of attendance at both sessions—especially considering the atrocious weather on the day. The members of the event team were very helpful, and we enjoyed fantastic levels of engagement all round.”

More Than Just a Car Launch

It wasn’t just the vehicles turning heads; the tour brought a festival atmosphere to our showrooms. To celebrate Nissan’s Japanese heritage and forward-thinking tech, guests enjoyed a variety of unique experiences:

A Taste of Japan: Guests refuelled with Japanese-inspired refreshments, a nod to the brand’s roots.

High-Tech Fun: A retro-style grabber machine offered lucky winners prizes, while an AI photo booth allowed attendees to create futuristic self-portraits.

Creative Spaces: A giant colouring wall kept the younger (and young-at-heart) visitors busy.

A New Chapter for Two Icons

While the entertainment was top-tier, the real “stars” were the cars parked on the showroom floor.

The All New LEAF

Since 2010, the LEAF has been the global benchmark for electric vehicles, with nearly 700,000 units sold. This latest iteration isn’t just a facelift; it is a complete re-imagining designed for the modern EV driver. It stays true to its pioneer roots while offering enhanced range and cutting-edge design.

The All New MICRA

The MICRA has been a household name for over 40 years. Now, it returns as a fully connected, pure EV. It combines that classic, unpretentious personality we love with zero-emission mobility and Google Built-In technology, making it the perfect city car for the 21st century.

What’s Next?

The Nissan Electric Encounters Live tour may have ended, but the journey is just beginning. As a Nissan spokesperson recently shared, hundreds of customers across the UK have now inspected these models, and the wait for them to hit the tarmac is nearly over.

At Stoneacre, we are already preparing for the first deliveries. If you missed the tour, don’t worry—the future of driving is arriving at our dealerships very soon.
