Dacia is shaking up the family car market once again. Following the announcement of its 2030 strategic plan, the brand is expanding its footprint in the highly competitive C-segment with an entirely new model: the Dacia Striker.
Positioned as a clever alternative to traditional SUVs, the Striker is a crossover designed to capture the hearts of both retail buyers and business fleets. It arrives alongside the upcoming Bigster, embodying the core values that have made Dacia a household name: Robust and Outdoor, Essential and Cool, and Eco-Smart.
The name itself gives away the intent. Striker is all about hitting the target and making a serious impression. This car breaks the traditional mould, blending the benefits of three distinct body styles into one cohesive package.
A Design That Breaks the Mould
The automotive market loves an SUV, but the Dacia Striker offers a different kind of balance. It combines the high driving position and rugged, go-anywhere capability of an SUV with the vast interior space of an estate and the aerodynamic efficiency of a saloon.
To achieve this, the design team split the styling into two distinct halves, structured around a sharp shoulder line that runs the entire length of the car. Above this line, everything is sleek, aerodynamic, and fluid. You get a raked windscreen, a long roofline, and an angled rear window that gives the car a dynamic, saloon-like silhouette.

Below that central line, the look turns tough. Generous ground clearance and vertical surfaces give the Striker a planted, muscular stance. It stands 4.62 metres long, matching a standard C-segment estate, and boasts an impressive ground clearance of 20cm for the 4×4 versions (19cm for the 4×2). However, at just 1.53 metres tall, it is significantly lower than a typical SUV, which cuts through the air much more effectively.
The Striker is also the very first model to showcase Dacia’s new T-shaped LED light signature at all four corners. At the front, these lights frame a gloss black grille featuring the iconic Dacia Link emblem. At the back, the lights integrate into a wide black strip across the tailgate, complete with embossed Dacia lettering. Standard models roll on 17-inch wheels, while 18-inch and 19-inch variants are available for an even stronger road presence. Buyers can choose from seven exterior colours, including two fresh shades named Frost Green and Cosmic Blue.
Step Inside the Smart Cabin
The interior layout mirrors the clever, horizontal design of the exterior. Dacia has used a three-tier structure to make everything as intuitive as possible for the driver.
The upper level brings key information directly into your line of sight. The standout feature here is the standard 7-inch LightVisio digital instrument cluster. It uses smart optical reflection technology to project driving data as a 3D floating image, offering a clear layout that reduces eye strain. Alongside it sits the 10.1-inch central touchscreen.
The middle level keeps things functional, grouping physical buttons together so you can adjust settings quickly without taking your eyes off the road. The lowest tier focuses on comfort and texture, utilising warm fabrics and Starkle material accents on the door panels.
Smart touches are scattered throughout the cabin. There is a hidden cable run to keep your charging wires tidy, and a handy ice scraper tucked away inside the dashboard, accessible only when the passenger door is open. The centre console offers 6.7 litres of storage under the armrest, plus an available sliding drawer.
Passengers will find plenty of room to stretch out, and the optional panoramic glass roof floods the cabin with light. This roof uses multi-layered, low-emissivity glass to keep the cabin quiet and thermally insulated. Engineers have also worked hard on acoustic comfort, using thicker glass for the windscreen and front windows alongside advanced sound-absorbing materials to block out wind and road noise.
The cockpit layout functions across three levels:

Once inside, a rigid, two-section luggage cover keeps your items hidden, and it can be neatly stored under the floor when not in use. This setup couples a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 109 bhp with two electric motors: a 49 bhp drive motor and a high-voltage starter-generator. Power is sent through a clutchless automatic gearbox featuring four gears for the engine and two for the electric setup. Because it always starts in pure electric mode and recovers energy efficiently through braking, it can run on electricity for up to 80% of the time in urban environments. This keeps CO2 emissions below the 100g/km mark.
Striker Hybrid 150 4×4
For those who need all-wheel drive peace of mind, this clever powertrain splits its work across both axles. The front wheels are driven by a 1.2-litre 48V mild-hybrid engine producing 140 bhp, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and paddle shifters. The rear axle houses a disengagable 31 bhp electric motor with its own two-speed gearbox.
This design provides strong torque at the rear wheels at low speeds for tricky off-road situations, but disengages the rear axle during normal driving to save fuel. The 4×4 system stays on standby in Auto, Eco, and Snow modes, kicking in instantly when slips are detected at speeds up to 87 mph. It offers five distinct driving modes:
- Auto: Automatically handles the shift between two and four-wheel drive.
- Eco: Focuses on fuel saving, engaging 4×4 only on slippery surfaces.
- Snow: Adjusts settings specifically for low-grip winter roads.

Dacia continues to lead the way in sustainable manufacturing, and the Striker sets a new benchmark for the brand. Over 32% of the materials used in the car come from the circular economy. This includes 47kg of recycled plastics, which is more than double the average found in the European car market.
The exterior protective cladding around the wheel arches and bumpers is made from Starkle, which uses up to 20% recycled polypropylene. Because it is left completely unpainted, the factory carbon footprint is significantly lower, and it won’t show ugly white scratches if scuffed. Inside, the door panels and dashboard use components containing up to 80% recycled polypropylene.
In a bid to reduce environmental impact, Dacia has completely removed real leather and chrome trim from the vehicle. Even the traditional paper user manual has been trimmed down to basic safety info, with the full guide moving to a digital format on the My Dacia app and website.
