What is the Snow League?

The Snow League is the first professional winter sports league dedicated to snowboarding and freeskiing.

Launched in June 2024, the Snow League was founded by three-time Olympic gold medallist, entrepreneur, and snowboarding legend Shaun White. Its inaugural season started at Buttermilk in Aspen Snowmass in March 2025 before concluding at LAAX, Switzerland in March 2026. This is where the first-ever Snow League World Champion was crowned.

Season one consisted of four events in three different countries:

  • Buttermilk, Aspen Snowmass – March 7-8, 2025
  • Yunding Snow Park, China – December 4-6, 2025
  • Buttermilk, Aspen Snowmass – February 27-28, 2026
  • LAAX, Switzerland – March 19-21, 2026

The season saw 20 of the top men and 16 of the top women in snowboarding and freeskiing. The competitors initially compete in a qualifier round before moving on to the final, which saw eight athletes from each gender compete in a head-to-head championship.

The winners of this year’s Snow League were six-time Olympic medallist Eileen Gu and 17-year-old New Zealander Luke Harrold. With a notable effort from British freestyle skier Zoe Atkin, finishing third in the Women’s Championship.
