Toyota has unveiled the All-New Urban Cruiser, an all-electric compact SUV set to launch in the UK in late 2025.
Built on a dedicated BEV platform, the Urban Cruiser blends authentic SUV styling with advanced electric performance.
With up to 265 miles of range, it meets the demands of modern life while supporting sustainable driving.
Compact, Bold, and Functional
The Urban Cruiser features a robust design that reflects its SUV credentials. Its bold front grille, sculpted lines, and muscular wheel arches give it a commanding presence.
Meanwhile, its compact dimensions make it ideal for urban environments, and its elevated stance improves visibility, ensuring a confident drive on tight city streets.
Inside, the interior is spacious, with a 2.7m wheelbase that maximises passenger and cargo space. With a sliding and split-folding rear seat system, you have versatile configurations catered to your needs.
Seamless Connectivity
Inside, the Urban Cruiser offers a fully digital user interface. A 10.25-inch digital combimeter puts key driving information clearly in front of you.
Meanwhile, a 10.1-inch multimedia display sits seamlessly in the dashboard. You can connect your smartphone easily via wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
The MyToyota app also lets you schedule battery charging remotely and check the battery’s state of charge. This makes managing your electric driving simple and convenient, allowing you to monitor performance and plan trips with confidence.
Advanced Safety Features
The Urban Cruiser comes equipped with Toyota’s Safety Sense package, a suite of technologies that work together to enhance driver and passenger protection.
Adaptive Cruise Control helps you maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead by automatically adjusting your speed, while Lane Trace Assist gently keeps you centred in your lane, supporting safer motorway and city driving.
Parking aids make your manoeuvres effortless, with rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a 360-degree camera available on higher grades.
Battery EV Performance
The Urban Cruiser is available with two battery options: a 49kWh battery for front-wheel drive versions and a 61kWh battery for both front- and all-wheel drive versions.
The 61kWh battery offers a driving range of up to 265 miles on the combined WLTP cycle.
Both batteries use lithium iron phosphate technology, known for its durability and low cost. There’s also a thermal management system that keeps the battery at an optimal temperature, even in extreme conditions.
