Stoneacre Toyota & Toyota GB Supports HospiceCare North Northumberland with Two-Year Electric Vehicle Loan
Stoneacre Motor Group in partnership with Toyota GB to provide HospiceCare North Northumberland with a fully electric vehicle on a two-year loan, helping the charity continue its incredible work across rural Northumberland.
Supporting HospiceCare’s Vital Work
HospiceCare provides home-based nursing services, including Hospice at Home end-of-life care, Bereavement Support, and Dementia Support to people living in some of the most remote parts of Northumberland.
Their nurses and support workers need reliable, cost-effective transport to reach patients quickly and safely.
Thanks to this partnership, Stoneacre Toyota has provided a Toyota Proace Verso Shuttle electric vehicle on loan, helping HospiceCare reduce transport costs while making their operations more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
What This Means for HospiceCare
Chris Orife, CEO of HospiceCare , shared his excitement about the new vehicle:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Toyota GB, and we are very grateful to the team who have provided us with this electric vehicle for 2 years.
It will be used by our Nurses and Hospice support workers to travel to patients homes to deliver end of life care and to support and care for patients with Dementia at home and in their local communities.”
“We will also be able to achieve savings in petrol and other expenses which can be reinvested into providing more care to increasing numbers of patients who need our care throughout North Northumberland.”
About the Community Electric Van Loan Programme
This loan is part of Toyota GB’s Community Electric Van Loan Programme, which supports charities and educational organisations across the UK.
The programme provides eligible organisations with:
• Use of a Toyota Proace Verso Shuttle vehicle free of charge for up to 24 months
• A £1,000 grant to help with the installation of a wallbox charger
• Support for reducing costs related to leasing, fuel, and maintenance
• A boost to sustainability by transitioning to zero-emission vehicles
Toyota GB position this programme to help beneficiaries across the country overcome barriers to mobility and, at the same time, support community organisations such as Hospice Care Northumberland in making the transition to electric vehicles.
