Fiat has begun its journey into the electrification of its vehicles by offering hybrid and electric versions of its most popular models, including the Fiat 500 hybrid and the Fiat 500 electric.

The Fiat 500, Panda and 500X now come as hybrids with increased efficiency and economy of this super city car. Under the bonnet of the hybrid Fiats, you'll find a petrol engine, which works with an electric starter generator which stores energy from braking and coasting in a lithium-ion battery before feeding it back into the driveline.

Fiat has also brought out its first fully electric models, the Fiat 500 electric car, the Fiat 500C (convertible). With a range of 199 miles on a single charge, this smart city car has also had a little makeover, offering some of the old features with some new ones added for customer pleasure. Plus, the new Fiat 600 with a longer range of 254 miles.
