Is a Dacia Duster a good buy?

The Dacia Duster is a popular compact SUV that has gained widespread recognition for its affordability, practicality, and ruggedness. Manufactured by the Romanian automaker Dacia, the Duster offers a compelling combination of features that make it an appealing choice for those seeking a versatile and budget-friendly vehicle. With its robust design and high ground clearance, the Duster showcases its off-road capabilities, allowing drivers to confidently navigate challenging terrains. Despite its affordable price point, the Duster doesn’t compromise on essential features and safety technologies. It offers a range of options, including modern infotainment systems, advanced driver-assistance systems, and comfortable seating arrangements. The Duster’s economical fuel consumption, along with its reliable performance, makes it an ideal choice for both urban commuting and adventurous getaways. Overall, the Dacia Duster continues to win over drivers worldwide with its practicality, affordability, and ability to tackle various driving conditions with ease.

Auto Express Driver Power 2023 Award

As in previous years, Auto Express once again sought the opinions of car owners regarding their vehicles and ownership experience. With an extensive range of questions covering aspects such as driving performance and running costs, over 75,000 new car owners participated, offering their valuable insights. Among these owners, those who owned a Dacia Duster stood out in their appreciation for this sturdy SUV, praising its affordability, practical boot space, comfortable ride, and intuitive controls.

On the success of the Dacia Duster in this year’s Driver Power survey, Steve Fowler, Auto Express editor-in-chief, said: “Another great showing for the Duster shows just how well owners respond to Dacia’s premise that many drivers value practicality, affordability and all-round competence over flashy brands and expensive high-end tech they expect never to use or need.”

Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, commented:

“The accolades continue to come thick and fast for Dacia, but this result is something we are especially proud of as it comes from customers who live with their Duster day in, day out. The award is a ‘real world’ illustration of how Dacia vehicles don’t just score highly when it comes to affordability, but also when it comes to durability and long-lasting driver enjoyment. It’s a package that’s hard to beat and, with the Duster flying up the list to take 4th place overall ahead of all its rivals and cars costing more than two or three times its price, that’s never been so clear.”
