Like the Coupe before it, the Roadster marks the most emphatic leap in power and most elevated jump in emotion in over 70 years of the Vantage bloodline. At its heart, a boldly reworked, hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. Meticulously engineered. Producing a peak of 665PS and a colossal 800Nm of torque. A driving experience, heightened.

Intelligently tailoring traction. Pinpointing grip more precisely. Weaving power through an automatic ZF 8-speed transmission. Delivering explosive in-gear acceleration through a shorter final drive ratio (3.083:1).

BRAKING

IRRESISTIBLE BRAKING

Precision engineered steel brakes offer superlative stopping power as standard. Or specify Carbon Ceramic Brakes to reduce unsprung mass by 27kg. 400mm at the front end, 360mm at the rear end. Defiantly increasing braking efficiency and reducing brake fade at temperatures up to 800 degrees thanks to drilled faces providing superior heat rejection. Later braking, enhanced performance, elevated emotion.

Developing Vantage Coupe and Roadster simultaneously meant its outrageous dynamic capabilities and character were retained without compromise upon roof removal.

The roof opens or closes in just 6.8 seconds a class leading speed. Operational up to a speed of 31 mph. At the touch of a button.

Beneath the Roadster’s Z-fold roof awaits a cockpit design that is reworked, redesigned and revolutionary. Building out the interiors with more horizontal surfaces. Mirroring horizon lines. Syncing the driver with the environment. Cocooned within traditional, hand-stitched Bridge of Weir® leather. With the lower hip point dropping the driver into a deeper sportier position. Within easy reach of the metallised switch for roof opening and closing, which nestles at the base of the centre console. Each addition freeing you to drive with more precision.

I went to Aston Newcastle as they had listed a Vintage 2005 Vanquish S. I emailed and was immediately taken care of. The car was prepped and I made an appointment to test drive. I was taken out for a drive with James and it was an experience I will never forget. It was my first time ever driving something so visceral, powerful and exciting. Afterward I talked through details and was left with greatest feeling. Sadly I couldn’t continue with the purchase, but after this, Aston Newcastle would be the first place I would consider when buying a dream car.

Having tried to phone our “ local “ AM dealerships parts department 3 times to get no reply. ( Edinburgh ) I decided to contact AM Newcastle. Proved to be a great decision.
