21 Feb 2024 by Megan Maxwell

The All-New Dacia Spring has reached another milestone, enhancing the qualities that contributed to its success. Since its launch, the Dacia Spring has continually evolved to meet customer needs. It underwent a rebranding in 2022 and received a more potent 65 hp motor in 2023. And for 2024, the all-new Dacia Spring has finally been revealed.

Now more appealing than ever, it boasts a completely refreshed and sturdier design, maintaining its practicality with exceptional interior storage space. Its efficiency is further improved through careful weight management, all while remaining the most budget-friendly full-electric model on the market.

Excitingly, these attributes are now accessible to UK buyers as it launches in right-hand-drive for the first time. Pre-orders for the All-New Dacia Spring will commence on 12th March 2024, with pricing details unveiled on the same day.

First All-Electric Dacia Car

Dacia’s first all-electric offering, the Spring, is widely acclaimed for democratising electric mobility. Launched in 2021, it secured the third spot in electric car sales to consumers in both 2022 and 2023, with over 140,000 registrations globally since its debut.

In 2022, the Spring earned acclaim for its energy efficiency and minimal carbon footprint, earning a top 5-star rating from the independent European body, Green NCAP.

The Dacia Spring presents an ideal solution for those seeking straightforward, cost-effective, and eco-friendly transportation. Data from the vehicle’s onboard systems reveal that on average, Spring drivers cover just 23 miles per day at a leisurely 23 mph, with 75% opting to recharge at home.

Dacia ‘Robust’ Design

Dacia remains committed to its goal of being the top choice for budget-friendly vehicles, continually refining the essentials. Extending this ethos to the Spring model, Dacia aims to facilitate the transition to electric cars in an accessible manner for drivers. Among the key factors, alongside efficiency, affordability, and practicality, is the design of the vehicle.

The All-New Spring showcases Dacia’s fresh design approach, previously introduced with the latest Duster iteration. This new style exudes strength and confidence, enhancing the Spring’s appeal. Inside, there’s been a remarkable makeover, completely revamping the space, while the roof remains the sole exterior component unchanged.

David Durand, Dacia’s Design Director, remarked: “With Spring adopting our brand’s new design language, it solidifies its position as a significant member of the Dacia lineup. We’ve given it a bold and assured design. Building on the accomplishments of its predecessor, the All-New Spring confidently asserts its unique identity.”

Modern Exterior

Dacia’s fresh design language brings renewed vigour to the Spring with its meticulously structured volumes. Its commanding appearance stems from a sleek, uncluttered silhouette, notably highlighted by the finely sculpted bonnet.

The distinct Dacia identity is manifested in the two black bands, positioned at the front and rear, converging with a glossy finish, complemented by matte stripes at the rear. These bands are accentuated by the brand’s iconic Y-shaped light signature, featuring full-LED daytime running lights at the front and parking lights at the rear, creating a striking visual effect.

The contemporary design of the All-New Spring is further enhanced by decals on the front and rear bumpers in the Extreme trim, adding a modern touch. Completing the robust aesthetic are the 15-inch wheels adorned with intricately crafted wheel covers.

Remaining true to Dacia’s ethos, the All-New Spring embodies a clever and resilient design. Notable examples include the lightweight, cost-effective, and easily replaceable lower-door side protections. Additionally, in line with Dacia’s commitment to sustainability, decorative chrome elements and roof bars have been omitted, reducing environmental impact, improving aerodynamics, and enhancing range.

Available in a choice of six colours, including the newly introduced Brick Red and Beige Safari, the All-New Spring offers a versatile palette to suit individual preferences.

Practical Interior

The dashboard has undergone a complete overhaul, blending elements from Dacia’s fresh interior design language characterised by its signature horizontal layout. It also integrates a new array of digital screens. The Spring now boasts a customisable digital dashboard with a 7-inch display across all versions, alongside a 10-inch multimedia central display in higher trim levels. To enhance quality while streamlining costs – in line with Dacia’s philosophy – the colour palette and interior materials have been refined, reducing the range of options.

Additionally, the All-New Spring incorporates full-body white elements, contributing to a modern and adaptable ambience. These elements are strategically placed around the instrument cluster, gear stick, and door bins. The iconic Dacia “Y” symbol, positioned at the centre of the air vents, is presented in white (or copper on the Extreme trim). Furthermore, the central decorative accent on the instrument panel varies by trim: Alto Gray on Essential, Brick Red on Expression, and Dusty Khaki on Extreme.

Designed with practicality in mind, the Spring positions its large multimedia touch screen for optimal ergonomics. The graphic layout on the customisable digital dashboard with a 7-inch display is intuitive, providing drivers with quick access to essential information. Additionally, the All-New Spring introduces innovative YouClip accessory mounts, recently featured on the All-New Duster. Finally, the Extreme trim offers durable rubber floor mats and door sills sporting a distinctive ‘topographic lines’ design.

Sturdy And Adventurous

The All-New Dacia Spring is ready to conquer both city streets and rural pathways. Compact at 3.70 meters in length, it boasts one of the tightest turning circles in its class at 4.80 meters wall-to-wall, ensuring exceptional agility and ease of manoeuvring.

With robust bodywork featuring solid-colour protective strips enveloping the bumpers and wheel arches, the All-New Spring is built to endure the rigours of daily use while maintaining its aesthetic appeal. Its generous ground clearance proves advantageous when tackling uneven terrain.

Available with either a 45 hp motor or a more potent 65 hp/48 kW motor, the All-New Spring delivers lively acceleration, achieving 0-62 mph in under 14 seconds.
