PHP Developer – CodeIgniter/Laravel - Doncaster

Stoneacre Motor Group are currently recruiting for an experienced PHP Developer (CodeIgniter/Laravel) to work at their Head Office based at Thorne, near Doncaster.

Working in a busy development team reporting to the Web Development Manager, you will be working closely with other team members to work on both internal systems as well as external customer facing websites. You will need to be client focused and understand the importance of ensuring products work effectively.

You will be part of a team of like-minded, passionate and high performing developers who strive to innovate and create amazing sites that users will love. We are currently in the process of migrating from a CodeIgniter codebase to a more robust Laravel and Drupal framework/API solution.

  • Skills & Experience Required:

    Essential

  • Laravel experience
  • Drupal knowledge would be desirable, but not essential
  • Prior commercial PHP development experience, must provide portfolio and/or examples of work
  • Knowledge of at least 1 Relational Database (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of PHP5/7
  • Good working knowledge of Javascript/JQuery/Ajax
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as inheritance, composition, etc.
  • Experience with XML, SOAP, JSON & RESTful services
  • Desirable

  • Qualification or experience in software/web development or related discipline
  • Commercial experience of at least 1 modern PHP framework (Codeigniter, Laravel, Symfony)
  • Experience of maintaining a LAMP stack
  • Knowledge of a Git Version Control System
  • Working knowledge of a javascript framework/library (VueJS, React, BackBone)
  • Knowledge of unit testing
