Especially when travelling at lower speeds, the AC needs to work harder to cool the car down more quickly, which isn\u2019t practical for any journey.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"> So instead of using your AC during a car journey, we&#8217;ll give the best alternatives to keep cool the inside of a car during the summer.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneacre.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-2022-06-23T151929.907.jpg\" alt=\"Use of a windscreen to block the sun from the car.\" class=\"wp-image-11082\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Windscreen Sunshade<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sunshade is a practical way to protect both the dashboard and the steering wheel of the car from getting too hot to touch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\u2019re inexpensive and keep the sun out relatively well enough.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Park Away from the Sun<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">When parking, be mindful of the location \u2013 don\u2019t leave a car in the direct sunlight. Also, the area they cover is one of the largest in a car &#8211; so blocking out the heat is a lot easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Frozen Water Bottles<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This tip is probably one of the cheapest \u2013 simply fill a water bottle and freeze it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, wrap it in the towel and put it behind your back to keep cool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mini Fan<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A mini solar fan is an excellent way to keep cool, as it uses renewable energy, rather than electricity like regular air conditioners. Always have cold water in a big thermos, so it can stay cool for a few hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, have a water bowl and regularly top it up during your journey breaks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A Cooling Towel<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These are a specific type of towels that are dry to the touch and are activated with cold water, so works a bit better than your regular towel would.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get the best use out of it, place it around your neck and voila!
