Two real-world efficiency challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It goes without saying, one test just isn’t enough to justify results. Which is why this wasn’t the first challenge that Nissan had set for the Qashqai with e-POWER. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, two Qashqai with e-POWER models drove from Land’s End to John O’Groats on a single tank. That iconic cross-country route covered 837 miles, with the cars averaging 75.1 mpg and finishing with roughly 99 miles of indicated range to spare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Nissan, consistency matters – especially in getting real results. Neither journey was a controlled laboratory test; both took place on real roads under everyday conditions. Together, they demonstrate how their e-POWER technology delivers outside of simulated tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does e-POWER work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nissan wanted the idea of e-POWER to be as straightforward as possible. But how? So, instead of the 1.5-litre petrol engine directly driving the wheels, its only job is to generate electricity. That power feeds directly into an electric motor, which drives the wheels 100% of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
