In the parklands surrounding Goodwood House, the Festival of Speed brings together a spectacular celebration of racing and motorsport through the ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running between 10th-13th July 2025, this highly anticipated event will showcase some of the best cars and bikes from the past and present, along with brand new models making their debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its launch in 1993, this annual event has called on motoring enthusiasts from far and wide to experience the latest and greatest vehicles that manufacturers have to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While a wide range of road cars, race cars and bikes take on the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb each year, some of Honda\u2019s most celebrated cars and bikes will be among them this time around. Here are just a few highlights to look out for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda’s First Championship Winner Returns<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Goodwood marks 75 years of Formula 1, Honda celebrates 60 years since its first victory in the Formula One World Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the occasion, the Japanese marque will run the Williams Honda FW11 racecar in a Hillclimb demonstration, the very car that secured its first F1 Constructors\u2019 Championship title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Powered by the RA166E, a 1.5-litre V6 twin-turbo engine, the FW11 reportedly produced 1,000 horsepower in race trim and up to 1,200 horsepower in qualifying. This high-performance engine was designed to achieve a higher RPM and power output, whilst also improving fuel efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this engine, Williams Honda took nine wins from 16 races during the 1986 season and clinched that all-important title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nigel Mansell, who originally drove the FW11, will once again take the wheel. In collaboration with Williams Racing, engineers will carry out chassis and engine maintenance to ensure the car is fully prepped and ready for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Cars on the Hillclimb Course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Goodwood\u2019s famous Hillclimb course stretches 1.16 miles through the estate, and many new Honda cars<\/a> will take to the track, all engineered with the “Joy of Driving” in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Super EV Concept<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Super EV Concept will make its world premiere at the event. This compact city car has already been spotted during road testing in the UK, wrapped in purple camouflage. Some suggest the prototype could be the spiritual successor to the retro-inspired Honda e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Prelude<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be demonstration runs of the Honda Prelude at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a concept model whose prototype was first unveiled at last year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Honda Prelude Concept celebrated 25 years of Honda\u2019s hybrid legacy<\/a>, the production Honda Prelude is expected to join its electric line-up in the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Civic Type R<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another must-see moment on the Hillclimb will be a celebration of the Honda Civic Type R<\/a> at Goodwood, a showcase of successive generations, each representing a different era of performance engineering and design evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From earlier classics to the latest models, this special sequence of Type R cars highlights how they have developed in power, precision and presence over the years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking pride of place will be the Ultimate Edition, celebrating the legacy of the Type R<\/a> as Honda looks ahead to a new era of electrified performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Bikes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda will also send several motorbikes onto the course, ridden by racing legends Ricky Brabec and John McGuinness, who made history at the Dakar Rally and Isle of Man TT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Celebrates the Magic of the Movies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While you can watch the Prelude prototype in action on the track, not every Honda car will be racing this year. Honda will bring a sense of cinematic flair to Goodwood 2025 with a film set-inspired stand, dynamic displays and interactive experiences for those visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda Civic Type R<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also find the Type R on display, with the Ultimate Edition marking the final chapter for this iconic hot hatch as Honda moves further towards hybrid and electric vehicles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a fond farewell for many, and the last chance for some to get behind the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can take centre stage by creating their own movie trailer aboard the Type R, with  extended reality (XR). They\u2019ll also have the chance to pose in mini film sets, riding a Gold Wing down desert highways, hanging onto a HondaJet, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda 0 SUV Prototype<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the Honda 0 SUV Prototype, an electric family car showcasing next-generation EV design and technology, will make its European premiere at Goodwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first model in the new Honda 0 Series features a spacious cabin, a large boot, and connected technologies that reflect its core principles of \u201cThin, Light and Wise\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda SUVs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda will also showcase several larger SUVs, including the New Honda HR-V Hybrid<\/a>, now sleeker and more streamlined than ever. This facelift features a refreshed design with new paint colour options, and a new Advance Plus trim that adds a panoramic roof and stylish enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are considering a hybrid but are unsure which powertrain suits you, take a look at the Honda CR-V Plug-in Hybrid<\/a> for a closer comparison. While the HR-V features a 1.5-litre full hybrid system, the CR-V boasts a powerful 2.0-litre engine with extended range. Both models are on display at the Honda stand this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
