By travelling through towns and cities, drivers hoped to show the British public that cars were reliable, safe, and capable of long-distance travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of three demanding weeks, the convoy faced rugged terrain, mechanical issues, and unpredictable weather.
