Among the findings, getting married and having children are two of the most popular goals, whilst owning a home and travelling to new places rank high as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for some inspiration or want to make sure you check off everything on your bucket list before you turn 40, then read on for Vauxhall\u2019s top life goals!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Survey Results<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the fact that buying a house, starting a family and getting married are typically seen as milestones to strive for in life, Brits have placed obtaining their driver&#8217;s license above all of them. An impressive 60% surveyed answered they wanted this privilege by 40 years old &#8211; even ahead of tying the knot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Younger generations are prioritising their career goals earlier, with as many as 43% of 18-39-year-olds aiming to land their dream job by the age of 40. In addition, 44% of those under forty believe that completing a degree or apprenticeship is an important milestone to reach before they turn 40 \u2013 however, this sentiment isn&#8217;t echoed by people over the age of forty; only 35% agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the recent survey reveals the growing trend among young adults to prioritise once-in-a-lifetime experiences over life achievements. An overwhelming majority of those under 40 are eager for extraordinary adventures such as sky diving and travelling, not to mention running marathons! By comparison, 41% of all surveyed believe that having these types of unique adventures is far more important than career progression before hitting forty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Age is an important factor in car purchasing consideration, with the latest survey findings highlighting this as 57% of all respondents had bought their first car by the age of 25. Young drivers place greater emphasis on things like design and styling, along with speed and sportiness when making their choice of vehicle. However, for those over 40, cost, reliability and safety feature more prominently among the priorities. When Vauxhall compared these results to that of motorists aged 65 or older it&#8217;s particularly striking &#8211; only a third as many put weight into taking performance attributes into account compared to 18-24 year-olds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>James Taylor, Managing Director,<\/strong> <strong>Vauxhall, <\/strong>said: \u201cOur research shows how important cars are in our lives, with people placing learning to drive as a bigger achievement to have completed by the time they turn 40 than getting married.
