Over the past few years there has been massive growth in the market of crossover style cars and compact SUVs and it’s saloon car sales that have suffered as a result. However we think the sporty and bold new Peugeot 508 is set to buck the trend.
has reworked the 508 creating a fastback styled saloon that is stylishly sophisticated. The 508’s sculpted lines, detailed grille and innovative light signature emphasise its bold and unique spirit. With its gutsy front end styling, low dynamic shape and roofline that tapers down to the rear creating a sporty back end, the new Peugeot 508 looks every bit a premium 5 door saloon. Finished with absolute precision the new 508 offers an uncompromising aesthetic.
The interior styling is just as refined as the exterior with intricate style features like soft touch fabric, double stitch detailing, grained dashboard finish and ‘piano key’ switches often found in more premium car brands.
However a car that looks great isn’t enough it must also offer extraordinary drive experience. You’ll be pleased to learn that the new Peugeot 508 doesn’t disappoint, having sharp steering and fantastic road handling which is reinforced by controlled active suspension.
At launch there will be 6 diesel and petrol engines to choose from. With engine power outputs ranging 128bhp in the entry level diesels up to 222bhp for a highly tuned petrol engine. A hybrid engine is also rumoured to be joining the ranks later in the year.
Tech lovers will be impressed by the 508’s fantastic on board technology featuring state of the art driving aids and safety features. For example to improve visibility when driving at night there is an optional infra-red camera which can help detect pedestrians in poor light.
The tech continues with Peugeot’s second generation i-Cockpit system which features a 12.3” fully digital instrument panel which can be viewed by looking over the steering wheel instead of through it. This helps reduce the need for you to take your eyes off the road. There’s also a 10” HD capacitive central touchscreen for in car connectivity.
If the Peugeot 508 has piqued your interest and you’d like to find out more why not register your interest?
