The Hyundai Kona Electric is noticeably different to its conventionally fuelled counterpart. The ride height has been bumped up 15mm and the sleek front grille cleverly incorporates a seamless flap which covers the charging socket.

The interior is more similar to the conventional Kona, however the electric version does see alterations to the centre console to incorporate the controls for the cars shift-by-wire system. The Electric Kona will come with a 7” touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Android and Apple phones, as standard. There will be an optional 8” touchscreen available as an upgrade. Following the lead of many other brands Hyundai has added in a head up display to reduce the need for drivers to take their eyes off the road. It will feature vital information like speed, fuel levels and navigation systems.

The Electric Kona will come with a 373L boot capacity, however this is reduced to 332L when you take into account cable storage.
