Service / MOT

Having your car's MOT carried out is essential, and booking an MOT with Stoneacre is easy and affordable. Each test is undertaken at our well equipped, DVSA approved test centres which are easily accessible across England and Wales. We look after thousands of cars each year, providing our customers with an exemplary level of customer service, enabling them to drive away happy.

Here at Stoneacre, it's easy to have your car MOT carried out around your schedule, as we know how hectic modern life can be. You can book an MOT online at any time using our simple booking form. Additionally, you can have your test carried out up to one month before the expiry date on your current certificate, giving you plenty of time to make arrangements with us. If the test is completed within the month before your certificate expires, your new certificate will be valid for 12 months from the expiry date of your current one, rather than 12 months from when the test is carried out.

What if my car needs work in order to pass the MOT test?

If your vehicle does need work in order to pass the test, you can be certain that Stoneacre will be able to carry out any work quickly and efficiently. Having to complete work to a high standard at short notice is something we pride ourselves on being able to do, and we will always confirm any costs that may apply with you beforehand.

MOT stands for Ministry of Transport.

What is an MOT test?

The test is to make sure that your vehicle is in road worthy condition and is safe to drive. By law, you are required to have a valid MOT certificate for your car if it is older than three years and is being driven on UK roads.

How long does the test take?

The test takes approximately 45 minutes, but we recommend up to an hour in case any minor repairs are required.
