Digital Car Sales Executive

The Role: Working within the Digital Car Sales and Finance Department at Stoneacre Head Office, Thorne, Doncaster. This role will be focused around customer communication and qualification, working within a result driven department. The role pays a basic wage of £12k, but the OTE are expected to be in the region of £25k - £30k a year.


About You: The ideal candidate may come from an automotive background or even just a sales/call centre background. Qualities will include being a good communicator and polite, a team player and have a willingness to learn and develop. As well as being able to understand the importance of adopting a can do attitude and willing to embrace this opportunity with Stoneacre, the number one motor group. Department/Team – Web Team


Reporting Structure – Reporting to the Team Leader


Summary - Working in a busy development team in a department of 7 this role reports to the Team Leader. You will be working closely with other team members to write outstanding code to implement new web sites and maintain existing sites. You will need to be client focused and understand the importance of ensuring products work effectively.

The role involves the full spectrum of development tasks. The team is also responsible for maintaining the server environments they work in.


Outcomes - The outcomes of this role include:

Products and applications perform above minimum standards

Codebase constantly refined

Defects and time-to-fix defects are low

Good relationships with other departments Improved systems

Continued development of the company websites

Skills and experience


Essential Prior commercial development experience required,must provide portfolio and/or examples of work

Knowledge of at least one Relational Database Management System (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite, etc.)

Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as inheritance, composition, etc.


Desirable - Qualification or equivalent work experience in software/web development or a related discipline

Knowledge of at least one modern PHP framework (Codeigniter, Symfony 2, Yii, Laravel)

Knowledge of unit testing Knowledge and experience of maintaining a LAMP stack

Knowledge of a Version Control System (Subversion, Git)


On top of that, you shouldHave excellent communication skills

Be able to demonstrate creative and critical thinking and be able to establish positive working relationships.
