Stoneacre is one of the country's fastest growing motor groups. The company was first incorporated on the 21st December 1994 and started off as a used vehicle retail operation in Scunthorpe in May 1995.

Since its beginnings as a used car dealership Stoneacre has grown to offer 11 new car manufacturers franchises including Chevrolet, Citroen, Fiat, Ford Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Peugeot, SEAT, Suzuki, Vauxhall and Volvo and the Motor Group operates from 29 locations across the country in Ackworth, Blackburn, Dewsbury, Doncaster (Fiat, Suzuki, SEAT and Chevrolet) , Doncaster (Ford and Mazda), Durham, Goole, Grimsby, Grimsby (Volvo), Grantham, Harrogate, Hull, Hyde, Lincoln, Lincoln (Volvo), Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Peterborough Newark Road, Peterborough Boongate, Rochdale, Rotherham, Scarborough (Ford and Vauxhall), Scunthorpe, Thirsk, Wallasey, Wigan, Worksop, Wrexham and York.
