The brand new Citroën C3 five-door supermini will be introduced to the car market in 2017, bringing a range of new technologies combined with some of the best features from the other cars available in the Citroën range.

The Fun Bit

The stylish soft lines of this ultra-modern supermini are bringing a bit of fun to the seriousness of car buying. The exterior of the car is available with a two-tone paint option, there are a choice of three roof colours as well as hints of colour around the car including fog lights, door mirrors, rear quarter panels and on the Airbump® panels.

Airbump® panels are six air filled bumps with a scratch proof surface at the bottom of the door, as seen previously on the distinctive Citroën C4 Cactus. They protect against bangs and scratches in a vulnerable area of the car and feature either a white or red graphic depending on the C3 version.

The exterior is available in nine body colours and there are also four different interiors available, giving you 36 combinations to really personalise the car and make it unique to your style.

The Comfy Bit

The Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme has played a big part in the creation of the new C3 with a panoramic glass sunroof allowing maximum sunlight into the cabin of the car. The aim of the interior is to create a feeling of reassurance, comfort and calm and includes fabrics and colours inspired by home interior design and travel. The idea of which is to give a perception of home comforts and space.

To give the C3 a roomy feel the horizontal dashboard runs the full width of the vehicle, chrome finishes on the air vents accent this.

The seats are wider than previous C3 models with 2cm more shoulder width, plenty of legroom for rear seat passengers and lumbar support helping cushion the impact of the roads uneven surfaces.

The Techy Bit

The C3 supermini sees the introduction of the ConnectedCAM Citroën™. Offering a 120° angle, 2MP full HD and with a 16GB internal memory the camera is situated behind the rear view mirror. This has been designed for two reasons: You are safely able to take photos or videos to keep or post on social media or in the event of a vehicle collision the video system is switched on automatically so that any footage can be used as evidence if necessary.

The Citroën Connect Nav is installed within the seven-inch touch screen and can be controlled through either voice command or touch.

Other driving aids include:

Mirror Screen Technology allowing you to access multimedia content from your phone by either touch or voice recognition.

Reversing Camera and Parking Aids that is automatically enabled each time reverse gear is selected.

Hill start assist allows the driver to move safely by holding the car for two seconds on gradients steeper than 3% once the brake pedal is released.

Lane Departure Warning System that will alert you with a visual and audio notification if a solid or intermittent white line is crossed without the indicators being activated.

Coffee Break Alert reminding you to take a break on long journeys.

Blind Spot Monitoring System* alerting you with an orange light on the door mirror to vehicles approaching from behind entering the blind spot. *Optional

The petrol version is available with a manual gearbox with either the three-cylinder PureTech 68, 82 or 110 engine, while the manual diesel uses Blue HDI 75 or 100 engines. There will also be an automatic version of the C3 available with Citroën’s EAT6 gearbox.

*MPG figures are achieved under official EU test conditions, intended as a guide for comparative purposes only, and may not reflect actual on-the-road driving conditions. Source:Citroen New C3 Brochure
