ALL-NEW MID-SIZED PEUGEOT 3008 SUV BREAKS THE MOULD
All newly-launched cars carry some weight of excited expectation, yet few can match Peugeot’s brand new 3008 SUV for bold ambition – the French giant says this car is the most advanced it has ever sold. Wow!
Redesigned and revamped to go toe-to-toe with established rivals, including the Nissan Qashqai, Ford Kuga and Renault Kagjar, Peugeot’s 3008 instantly catches the eye. The rugged appearance tells you this 3008 is unmistakably an SUV. Yet at the same time, the car’s fluid and dynamic lines point towards the vehicle’s incredible sophistication and advanced aerodynamics. This SUV is certainly dressed to impress.
Behind that head-turning exterior lies a driving environment and sensory experience that looks and feels class-leading. The cabin is surprisingly spacious, as are the rear seats, providing plenty of room for growing families or active couples and groups. Plus, with an impressive 520 litres of space (fold the second row of seats flat and you have a cavernous 1580 litres), the 3008’s impressive boot is big enough to tackle most challenges.
However, it’s the 3008’s hi-tech innovations that help the SUV really punch above its weight. Peugeot proudly boasts that their SUV provides a 100% digital world, thanks to its spectacular PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® technology.
Innovation brings a new level of sensory driving experience
This is the first Peugeot vehicle to include the second-generation i-Cockpit system and provides the convenience of a configurable 8” touch screen that can synch with your Smartphone screen via MirrorLink compatibility. Thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay availability, one touch of a steering wheel button lets you control many of your smartphone’s apps via remote voice recognition. Without your eyes ever leaving the road, you can safely make calls, choose music, get route information, even read and send text messages.
With busy and active lives, many of us spend more and more time on our cars. To enhance the in-car experience, Peugeot’s 3008 SUV offers it’s evolutionary i-Cockpit® with Amplify. Drivers can choose from two environmental ambiances; ‘Boost’ for an energising experience, and ‘Relax’ for a chilled drive.
Amplify also enables each ambience to be customised to suit the driver’s mood or journey, using ambient lighting and coloured screens, a fragrance diffuser with choice of aroma, plus multi-setting muscle-soothing massage seats.
Performance, economy and class-leading safety
Out on the road, Peugeot’s new 3008 is just as impressive. With a choice of six engines, ranging from a 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol to a 177bhp 2.0-litre diesel, you can choose the ideal combination of power and economy. What’s more, Peugeot has already said at least one diesel engine will emit less than 100g/km of carbon dioxide, making it exempt from road tax.
When it comes to safety, the 3008 ticks all the boxes too. It has already been crash tested by Euro NCAP and achieved the full five-star safety rating. It will also come equipped with the ‘Safety Plus Pack’, including blind spot detection, lane keeping assistance, plus an innovative alert system that can detect the driver’s level of fatigue.
Clearly, Peugeot sees its latest 3008 SUV as a flagship model. With an enviable combination of improved efficiency, better fuel economy, increased performance, a more dynamic driving experience and class leading safety, the French giant’s 3008 sets standards other SUVs must now follow.
